I think you'd have to ask him. I chat with Gautam several times a week via IM. He's doing well. He is in the International Relations department of MIT. When I went on a brief business trip to near Boston, I was able to stop by and visit him for a couple of hours. It was an enjoyable visit. I got to meet his major professor/head of the department. I heard some juicy gossip about what was going on at Harvard, got to hear the bets on the horse race for the next president, and got slapped down a bit by the head of the department. After their discussions of the Byzantine politics at Harvard, I opined that university politics was the worst politics. He promptly corrected me....but allowed that he might have agreed with me before the Bush administration. :-) Gautam and I still have long discussions about politics, economics, and anything else under the sun on a regular basis. He seems to be prospering (well except for the unknown virus he had while I visited.) Dan M. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
