I myself do not feel threatened by Gaymanistan or Traansexuvaal or
Londonfairy (The Axis Of Fashionsense).
The real enemy is those lezbeens. (The Axis Of Lipstick And Flannel)
They are after our wimmin!
The opinions of others may however vary.<G>

Excuse me for intruding on your question here, but I see an
interesting if not obvious insight.
I think that for a lot of people, the enemy is obvious. We know that
Mrs. Smith from Peoria does not need to be strip searched before
boarding a plane, and yet that happens too often. Akbar from Pasadena
is also quite likely to be above suspicion, but he gets the same
treatment at the airport Mrs. Smith does and both are treated in a
fashion similar to Abdul who has been in Afghanistan and Sudan
recently. And Mssr. Lourdes from Paris is in a huff over being
fingerprinted upon entering the US.
And yet "a lot of people" know who the enemy is.

I think you can make a good argument that the terrorists have won
~something~.
They have caused us to volunteer to give up some freedom and
convenience. If *I* have to be searched to travel from Houston to
Memphis or Atlanta, then we have given up something. And I don't think
this exact method of protection has actually made us safer than some
less rigorous method would or could....... Unless one considers Mrs.
Smith from Peoria to be a serious threat.
