I think that it's evenhanded in that it provides both the arguments of the
skeptics and the supporters.  When I read the arguments carefully, I see
unanswered problems. The example of meeting expanded energy demand (to 5x
what it is now) with wind farms requires that almost 20% of the earth's
land area be covered by these farms.  I see weasel words that are used when
proponents compare costs.  So, I have little trouble with the article, but
I can see how someone could read it as you suggested.
