It is a personal attack and is therefore innapropriate. John believe what he believes and there is absolutely no reason to doubt his sincerity. I might disagree with him, but I defend his right to speak his mind in a socially appropriate way. Look, I am likely to agree with you on the subject matter at hand, but if you stoop to personal attacks on other members of this list you make others who might agree with you look bad, and it makes me want to pursue having all anonymous creeps banned from the list. (Apologies to other anonymous types, my ire is a bit high ATM) Taking potshots from the shadows is the act of one with a fear based value system (read that as "A Coward"). It does nothing to show inner strength behind your convictions. It makes you look like a troll or perhaps a penny-ante terrorist. If the tables were turned I would defend you from personal attacks as a matter of principle. (And I believe I have in the past.)
