More to the point, I think, she said that it was for "lies" *and* "to benefit
Israel."  Not *just* to benefit Israel, which is what I hear people turning
her words into.

As for how the war benefits Israel, it doesn't take a political scholar to
figure out that as a democracy and ally of the United States, Israel could
benefit if we actually could turn Iraq into a U.S.-allied democracy.
