This is why popularity polls are so stupid. If they did this in 1972,
the same bunch of idiots would have made sure that Richard Nixon was on
this list, just because he was a president who was re-elected. Neither
Bush nor Clinton belong on this list, because it's just too soon to
measure their legacies. Either may have a claim on the title in a
generation or so, but after only six years of the failed Bush
administration and a scant 14 years or so since "the man from Hope"
took office...

Come on: is there anyone with more than a pair of warm brain cells to
rub together who really thinks that Walt Disney was a greater American
than *either* of the Thomases on the list: Jefferson or Edison?
