It depends if you think that it would be wiser for the Social Security
Administration to simply put hundreds billions of dollars in vault - or
else invest hundreds of billions of dollars in equities.   Is this what you
believe?

What I'm saying is that any "pay-as-you-go" system is inherently unstable
in the long run - but particularly as population growth slows down.
