Yes, you are missing something. Well, at least two somethings....
1) I stated up front that I was inclined to disagree with the article's
conclusions.
2) I interpreted the article as being more along the lines of pointing out
things that Democrats had done wrong in the past, in the interests of
spurring the Democrats to make changes to improve their electoral
prospects.... very much along the lines of the sort of thing that Dr. Brin
is writing.
