Rather, I'd point out that I think that there is something vaguely unsettling about being "sorry" for America being a democratic republic.
We're not sorry for what the U.S. is. Rather we are sorry we were unable to unseat an administration that 49% of us and some much larger percentage of the people of the world finds to be an unacceptable world leader.
And you can't believe in America's democratic republic if you are unwilling to lose....
Who's unwilling to lose? Did I miss the revolution? Are you saying we shouln't be unhappy that we lost?
