Can you take a look at the headers on a typical Brin-L message? Perhaps your ISP is inserting spam headers that Eudora is respecting.
It is only a reason for concern if you want to read the messages ;-).
There are many things that you (and I and pretty much all of us) should know, but I'm not sure if they're known unknowns, unknown unknowns, or what.
