Ohhh I dunno about that either, considering the
culture has a real tech-fetish (seems like a lot of
asian cultures do...the Koreans and Chinese seem to
have it too). It may be that the only stuff that's
been out lately has that "SF-Fantasy" bend, but then
if you're judging the medium by import of "Yu-gi-oh"
and the like, I'd say you have a myopic view of what
anime is...
