Based on the statements you quote, there is zero, count on your fingers, zero evidence that there was a 40 minute lapse in cognition on the part of some Democrats. It just shows that people will cling to a comfortable lie with ease, rather than do a bit of work such as thinking and/or confronting an uncomfortable truth.
