Yes, it was an attempt to compete against gmail.  I have both.  I feel
a little better with yahoo's new space limit.  I felt a lot better
with their policy a few months ago to not count bulk and spam mail
they detected against the space limits.

For the last ten years I need an extra large bedroom and large closet
for my stuff.
