Court Allows 'Under God' on Technicality
For now, five justices said the court could not rule on the case because California atheist Michael Newdow does not have full custody of his daughter.
They definitely whimped out. What this means to me is that they were afraid to rule because of the impact their ruling would have, so they found a way to weasel out of making any decision.
The only thing good about it is that at least they didn't make a bad decision, and it leaves the door open for someone with an even better case.
