<grin> Can I give a big "Du'uh!" here? As well as to
a recent paper I read that reports women tend to have
more sex around ovulation? Double du'uh! It's true
that the unobservant might be oblivious, but I'll bet
many of the partnered folk here have noticed a
biphasic monthly peak in women's interest in uhm,
intimacy...

Back on a more scholarly note, another recent article
found that the synthetic progestin in PremPro and
Depo-Provera greatly reduced libido in female
macaques. So in addition to being heart-unhealthy,
synthetic HRT probably reduces women's interest as
well. I'd still like to see research using hormones
molecularly identical to human for HRT; I suspect it
would not have the deleterious effects seen in the
huge PremPro study.
