--------------------------------------- I agree, don't stop at my two top suggestions, read ALL. "Player Piano" is wonderful. "Breakfast of Champions", "Slapstick", and "Cat's Cradle" will have you ROTFLOL and making you stop and think. One word of caution: DO NOT watch the movie version of "Breakfast of Champions"; it is terrible. On the gripping hand, "Slaughterhouse Five" is pretty good on film.
