_City Journal_ is the magazine published by the Manhattan Institute - perhaps the finest magazine in America on urban policy. Rudy Giuliani gave it a great deal of credit for helping him in his turnaround of New York City. At any rate, this month's edition has a fascinating article on the changing of culture in the United States (marred chiefly by its egregious misunderstanding of _American Pie_, which is actually one of the best examples of the trend which it describes).
