Those workers are losing millions and millions a year? I didn't know Toys R Us paid that well.

Read the whole article. It's not just Toys R Us. And it's not just one store, and it's not just a few workers.

Take a serious subject seriously, why don't you? If it were your paycheck being shorted, you'd scream like Michael Powell at seeing Janet Jackson's not-so-bare breast.

How about the millions and millions the workers lose because they have too much taken out of their paycheck, then think they get a big bonus when they get their income tax rebate?

These guys (in the article) are making $8 an hour. How big a rebate do you think any of them are getting?

(If people are having too much taken out of their paycheck each week in withholding, they can try to finetune it to have less taken out. And, even so, most people I know would rather get a rebate than have to write a check in April.) Don't change the subject. (Classic right-wing shell-game.)

These are people who are just getting by as it is - they need every penny. And they actually did the hours and are having the money they earned and the company owes them stolen basically right out of their pockets. (I thought the right wing believed in law and order? Guess not.) I know they're not glamorous, you don't see them on Friends, and they're not invited to the Lincoln Bedroom. But there used to be no shame in working even a humble job. When did it become fashionable to sneer at the working poor?

In any case, if it were just a few bucks, then it would take little to pay them their full. And if it's more than just a few bucks (and why else would these big retailers be forcing their middle managers to violate the law to steal it), then it's clearly a massive problem.

But the right wing doesn't give a damn because in their mind Corporate America can do no wrong.
