[In large parts of the US, daylight savings time comes into effect
tonight, before dawn of the first Sunday in April.]
I just discovered I have to reset 8 clocks and one watch tonight.
That does not count the two `atomic' clocks I have that are set by
radio signals; nor does it count my computers' clocks, which are
supposed to reset themselves.
I never realized I had so many clocks -- it is amazing. When I was
young, my father set the big kitchen clock, which I will set tonight,
his and my mother's wrist watches, and an alarm clock. That was it.
A grand total of four.
Generally, I am in favor of technological progress; but sometimes I
wonder ....
