I want to use Horst as the location for the short story, "The Kidding Stays in the Tytlal."
Timeframe: First tentative Terragens Council exploration party prior to accepting a lease to the planet. 300 years prior to Streaker/Jijo books. Either due to the economics of the situation, or as an intended slight toward Earthclan, survey and exploration modules were already brought in and dropped at the three locations on the GURPS map. So the actual survey party is rather small: Humans and neo-chimps. Kanten. Tymbrimi, Tytlal, and a Synthian/Wazoon ship under contract. Main character to the story: Rupert C. Jones, British heritage. In charge of the smaller party that's sent to check out the cube that was dropped south of the capital city location. (The Tytlal usually address him as "Rube.") The long sea on Horst has got to be named "The Serpentine." (You just can't Hyde the similarity.) Re Kiellor, next planet in. Not even worth fortifying with a garrison of defense robots. Re Adirondak, the fallow Terrestial planet, next planet out. It may not be all that fallow. A few of its prior occupants may still be there in suspended animation. Sort of a Winkle in time? (Don't blame me, I didn't name the planet.) So... Any problems with the setup as it stands?
