I think that there is a difference between asking the Admins to "ignore" the request and to "reject" the request. Your request that Jon's request be ignored seems to be, at best, bad manners. In the meantime, I think that a warning is a very reasonable step at this juncture, and I would encourage other List Members who feel the same to contact the Admins either on- or off-List. Likewise, I would encourage those ListMembers who respectfully disagree to do so, on- or off-List. Personally, Erik, if you really want anarchy, there's always UseNet. Otherwise, when you lay into Jon like this for having the temerity to publicly and transparently see if there are grounds for community self-regulation here (within the established frameworks), you are just making a Fool of yourself.
