I agree. Here is the problem. If you call the hijackers cowards you can plan 
future attempts to thwart them based on the notion that they are cowards. Of 
course these would fail because these people are not cowards by any standard 
definition.. Note that I am not condoning their behavior. They are murders of 
the innocent. They are monstrous individuals filled with hate. But  they are not 
cowards.
