I would ask, Doug, what evidence could possibly
convince you that there _isn't_ corruption involved? 
Is it just an article of faith that Bush (all
Republicans?) must be corrupt, and anything that looks
that way is proof?

I look forward to the day when, say, 20 years down the
road, I'm working for the Chris Cox Administration and
look in to the list to see you, Tom, and The Fool
telling everyone how I'm clearly arranging payoffs to
A.T. Kearney for its donations to Cox's political
campaigns...

One other point.  Our appropriately named Fool, with
his customary attention to accuracy, has stated that
Cheney is currently receiving compensation from
Halliburton.  As anyone who has followed the story
knows, Cheney does hold some Halliburton stock.  He
has also purchased insurance that guards against
changes in its value.  So Cheney's payout will be
identical to the penny if Halliburton goes into
bankruptcy or it becomes the most profitable
corporation in the world.  One wonders how this could
then affect his decisions.
