She is involved. She lives on the same planet and decisions made in
this country affect her country and vice versa. You seem to ignore the
complete web of interconnectedness that pervades the planet. Without
foreign investment in *this* country we would have even more problems
than we now have. The movement towards globalisation is now so
entrenched (at least in the economic spheres) that there is likely no
going back.

As for Ritu, she is a fine lady with lots of brains, and if you annoy
her much more, she may make you look more foolish than you have done
to yourself thusfar.

America, Love It Or Leave It. Right?
How very white of you!
You think Ritu or Rich or Travis incapable of reading a newspaper, or
even an American newspaper (most of which are on the web)?
Do you think that non-Americans are so bereft of empathy or compassion
that they cannot understand the situation you are discussing?
Your comments skirt too close to racism for my comfort and I am
somewhat appalled that you play "the ugly American" so carelessly. IMO
you make the rest of us look bad.
I sympathize with you. I've been squeezed out of an industry myself.
But the grace with which we conduct ourselves when under great
pressure increases our chances of later success. Nobody wants to hire
a whiner, they want winners. You say your education is worth a third
of a million? Surely there has to be some skill set in you or in your
education that will allow you to thrive. If not, your money was
wasted.

If I were you, I'd go back and re-read some of what Erik was saying.
There has to be a clue as to where to find a brass ring in there.
