Damn. I figured someone would ask.

I don't remember the title. It was something written in the fifties. Stories 
on a moon base.

One experiment involved setting off a sodium flair.  Someome was bribed...

Clarke never mentioned the product, but stated that the Cs and Os came out 
readable.

And he could never look at that swan necked bottle again.

Someone else will probably be able to fill in the details.
