Once again, The Fool can't possibly post an article with an accurate
subject-head, surreptitiously adding an "s" to "Republican" above.
The one thing that I do find interesting about this election, however, is
that it is impossible for anyone to plausibly say that there are no major
differences between the two major parties. History has taken a very
different course based upon the narrowest of pluralities among Florida
voters. Even more amazing is that this radically different course has in
large part been charted in foreign policy - historically an area of broad
agreement among the major parties.
Anyhow, it is worth pointing out that a vote against George W. Bush was/is
essentially a vote for leaving Saddam Hussein in power to terrorize 38
million civilians, and to continue to starve and deny medical care to
thousands upon thousands of Iraqi children. Say what you will, but that
is a *major* difference between the Parties, and it should be higlighted in
some way this coming election.
I can only hope that it will be higlighted in a more responsible way than
handing partisan talking points to 9/11 widows.....
