So far 17 users have cast 819 votes. Here is the first 'top ten' of SF titles (only including those which received 3 or more votes).[1]

I'm only planning on doing this top ten thing about once a month or so normally, but since it is new and I have a change to announce anyway I might as well provide the update while I'm at it :)

I've slightly changed the display of the data in the Rating column of the display. Above the graphic representing the average rating there are now two numbers in the form

Votes: 11 : 1.3

As before the first number is the number of votes recorded for the book. The new number is the standard deviation of the votes. This makes the results more useful for 'controversial' or 'love it or hate it' books. (Standard deviation is a measure of spread, so basically the higher the value the more disagreement. Sort of :) )

Some of the more controversial books (with three or more votes) on the list :

Stranger in a Strange Land Robert A Heinlein
Lord Valentine's Castle Robert Silverberg
Perdido Street Station China Mieville
Red Mars Kim Stanley Robinson
The Man in the High Castle Philip K Dick
Starship Troopers Robert A Heinlein
Blue Mars Kim Stanley Robinson
The Big Time Fritz Leiber
Green Mars Kim Stanley Robinson
Time Enough For Love Robert A Heinlein
