In the November issue of "Locus", there were three blurbs on optioned movies
(page 9):

1. William Gibson's "Pattern Recognition". I haven't read this. In fact
I've read only one by Gibson, "Neuromancer".

2. Mary Doria's Russell's "The Sparrow". This is an excellent read and I
wonder if they can really make a movie about the subject matter. On the
surface it is innocent enough: travel to another planet because of music
heard coming from it and meeting new aliens and the subsequent return to
earth and the problems of a Jesuit Priest upon his return. I won't spoil
it. But this is a recommended read.

3. Jame's White's "Sector General" books. I haven't read any of these.
Anyone know what these are about?
