I just got one of the common adult oriented spams, but I noticed this one had an odd "to" address:

C:Program FilesLightSpeed MarketingSuperServer PlatinumMailingsListmaking Namesfirst male with last namessplit firstmail randomSplit first last for friendly froms 0003friendly froms001.txt"@ozemail.com.au

Can someone who knows more about this sort of thing tell me whether the program used generated my address from a script, or did it extract my name from a list. I'm thinking there's a list involved, because rchapman isn't enough to identify me as male, but Russell does. (btw, ozemail is a very large ISP in Australia, which significantly increases my chances of getting this sort of spam.

I never cease to be amazed that they generate sufficient sales from spam to justify the trouble. I know the required take-up rate is astoundlingly small, but just how many people can there be out there who would buy p3nis enlargement pills from a spam email. How gullible would the buyer have to be.

And if anyone on this list has bought these pills from a spam email, I DON'T want to hear your reasons :-)

Cheers
Russell C.
