Companies are much smarter about selling their wares. You won't go into a Atlanta store and find many Seahawk jerseys. Is TV guide one of the first national magazines that made regional covers, showing local sports figures? (Probably not, just wondering).
In the Sunday paper, a flyer for best buy has two playstation games, for college and pro football 2004. The college game has Larry Johnson on the cover, PSUs 2000 yard rushing back (not the heisman winner). The pro has LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Charges running back. Just wondering if other areas of the country have the same cover(s).
Hmm. Looking at the Sony website

the two screen shots have PSU players in them. The first has them in their home uniforms, but that is not the home field, especially since the fans seem to be wearing red. The other shot has them in road uniforms and the stadium looks correct for the home team.
Looking around some more, all fans seem to be wearing red.
My real question: lately I've attempted to by items on sale and the store didn't have them in stock. This has been Sears and Office Max. I've gone to Office Max six times now and either had to go to a different store, or couldn't get the item locally. Last night was the only good result, I got an item from a different maker at the sale price, without having to send in any rebate forms. With Sears I also had a good result, in the end. First I had to fill out a rain check form. A month later I got a mailed message saying to come for the item, but it wasn't there again when I went for it. The manager gave me a better item at the sale price. (Neither time I was complaining, I just walked in wanting to buy.)
I had the similar trouble at other places. I got a TV for my mom but had to have the store hold it; it wouldn't fit into my car. When I retrieved the TV the next day, the box was ripped and gouged. Not that I though the TV was damaged, but I didn't like the rough handling and asked for another TV.
I'm not complaining about the end result, and I didn't have any trouble with the stores, just wondering what is going on.
