I guarantee you, if the situation ever changes so that the Democrats are in control in Colorado and attempt to do the same thing, the crybaby Republicans will bitch and moan and whine so loudly you'll be able to hear it in outer space. Just like they are in Congress now about Bush's judicial nominations being held up by the Democrats - when they did the exact same thing (and much worse) to Clinton's judicial nominees.
