Yeah, July 16th or 17th IIRC. And her wake/funeral was worthy of 'La Reina'. Her body was shipped to Miami for a wake, then returned to NYC for another wake (reportedly more people showed up at the funeral home than for any other entertainer since Judy Garland) and buried at St. Patrick's Cathedral. There was a procession down 5th Avenue from the funeral home to the church. Local Spanish-language radio stations went into 'All Celia All the time' for a few days. Really a shame since she was still performing at a very high level even a couple of years ago.
