There should be an animal control division in your
county if not your town (I'm really surprised that the
policeman didn't know); you could also check your
state livestock/animal welfare department's website,
or the State Veterinarian's.

I have to say that if I'd had a gun when those 3
pitbulls were circling Darby and me, I'd have shot
them, all right. Just *bloody* lucky that I've worked
with him on how to face aggressive dogs, and that he
decided to rear at them instead of trying to run away
when he sensed my fear ('cause believe me I thought I
was going to be in a dogfight, and I was scared --
*one* dog I can handle, no problem, but *three*
PITBULLS?! Shee-it!)
