I guess the fact that the parents are willing to make amends is a positive thing. So many parents seem to have the attitude of "Not My Child". And I guess that the good news is that aside from your cat, there were no human injuries or deaths. A .22 bullet can travel a long way. I am sorry about your cat, but very glad that you were not hurt.. It could have been *much* worse..
