Cool.  Our dogs weren't displaced, at least as far as sleeping
arrangements went, but one of them, every time she was invited to take a
closer look, got whapped in the side of the nose by an excited baby. 
(This was when he was *really* young.)  That dog is kinda wary still, and
Sammy is wary of *her*.  The other dog was just totally delighted with the
baby, and would creep into areas she wasn't supposed to be in to get a
better look, and kiss him when she could get away with it.

Ouch.  Bad enough for 8 pounds 10 ounces.  I hope everything stretched out
nicely for her; an episiotomy isn't the most fun thing in the world,
especially 4 days later when you're trying to *sit*....
