You notice I didn't say "happy ending" above.  I have my concerns about her
long-term well-being.  But in many respects, it's a happier ending than it
could have been.

I can't imagine being in the situation of those parents.  My brain is
rejecting it as a possibility.  Makes me want to hold my child more tightly.
