Yawn. It's so obvious what should be a planet. An 
object big enough to dominate graviationally its 
orbital neighbourhood is a planet. Else, it's part 
of an asteroid belt. 
 
So, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, 
Uranus and Neptune are planets [obvious]. Pluto 
is much bigger than the other guys that share with 
it the 3:2 resonance with Neptune, ergo it's a 
planet. Ceres isn't much bigger than the other big 
asteroids, so it's not a planet
