So if you don't mind me asking, what's your favorite Heinlein novel? Or are you much of a fan?

I liked many moments in TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE... though as a novel it sucked.

Always pay attention to an author's prescriptive utopia. Heinlein's was BEYOND THIS HORIZON. Critics only notice the gun crap in the 1st half. The 2nd half is immensely interesting, ruminating about what a really good civilization might be like. Heinlein was truly american. He despised socialism as a _general_ way of life, but then said at one point "Of course FOOD is free. Anything a child needs is free. How could it not be?"

It also had the best suggestion ever for how we should handle genetic engineering. Amazing mind.
