Jeroen, I don't see that as what JDG is saying at all. While I think some of the rhetoric being tossed around is over the top, I don't understand how you can possibly equate civilians going to Iraq to interfere with US combat operations with journalists reporting on the fighting. Your Red Cross argument is slightly more apropos this discussion. You *could* argue that the human shields are trying to protect Iraqi civilians, and the Red Cross is doing the same. But it does seem like a stretch to me.
