I should note that I think that's true for the British public, but not necessarily for the Labour MPs. Tony Blair is "New Labour", but there aren't that many of them in the actual Parliament, most of which is made up of "Old Labour." And "Old Labour" is so profoundly hostile to force in general and the US in particular that I doubt they would be more sympathetic to us no matter _what_ happens during the war. The best we could hope for is that the MPs would notice that their constituency does not support them in that. There's also a possibility - small, but real, that Blair (who really does have more in common with the Tories than most of his own party) and the New Labourites might split with Old Labour. I don't think it's likely, but the possibility is being talked about, at least. Gautam __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
