War is the most extreme method of settling disputes. Since most groups cannot wage war indefinitely, wars end. The war is over, the dispute is settled (most times), and then there is peace. What most peace protestors fail to recognize is that peace ends also. It is quite ironic when "peace protestors" behave violently, are confrontational, or become loud and obnoxious. Add to that the fact that "peace protests" are basically shows of strength and determination. Not exactly pacifist memes.
