>From yesterday's New York Post (Page Six) Brown, but not out Fox News is having some fun at the expense of rival CNN.
They've placed an ad in cable business publications with the slogan "We report. You golf." In the ad, a figure is chipping a golf ball toward a cup with a CNN flag - a pointed reference to the fact that CNN's lead anchor, Aaron Brown, kept golfing in California on the day of the Columbia tragedy. Although Brown went on the air the very next night, it was noted in news circles that the anchor did not hurry back to the studio. An unamused CNN spokeswoman said: "This ad does not merit a response." Elsewhere, the Washington Post's Lloyd Grove also has a story about Brown. He reports that CNN execs lobbied to have the anchor included in a power lunch for media bigwigs given by President Bush. The White House had already invited CNN's Judy Woodruff and said Brown could come as a replacement for Woodruff, but not in addition to her. Brown didn't go. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
