Some of the manuals are pretty thick, so the electronic version would be *huge* (if it even exists -- you know, copyright issues and stuff like that). I'd rather have the printed version than the electronic version, but that's of course just a matter of personal preference. One comment about buying it at on-line auctions: make sure that the software on offer comes *with* the manuals. A few years ago I was looking for this kind of stuff, and found that it's often just the software (without the manuals) that's being sold.I just want to mention that if the manuals aren't included, you *do* have alternatives.
1) Check for manuals online (PDF, PDB, TXT, HTML or DOC format). (Every once in a while, one hits a newsgroup or made available through a website.)
Expensive indeed. My copy of Delphi 5 Pro came complete with manuals, but the version of JBuilder and C++ that were included in the package came without printed manuals. Spent hundreds of guilders on books for that stuff.2) Check for books on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or eBay. (Can be pricey)
3) Check your local university library for programming textbooks. (Unsure if this would be helpful in Korea?)Not useful where I live, anyway. Our local university (Eindhoven University of Technology) has a library but AFAIK you have to be either a student or an employee if you want to borrow books there.
