I have seven links labeled as "liberal media" in my fave places folders:

Commondreams.org
www.drudgeretort.com
www.progressive.org
Freedomforum.org
Alternet.org
Workingforchange.com
Salon.com

The only one I read on a regular basis is salon.com, but they're not
truly liberal or libertarian. I have no idea if these are what you're
looking for.

If you're feeling particularly bored, you can always browse through the
links on my old website (most are probably still active):
http://jonslinks.tripod.com/links3.htm ("politics", just scroll down)
or http://jonslinks.tripod.com/links3.htm (under "news and weather".)

The point of posting that article was not to be informative, but to spur
discussion.
I felt like it was crap immediately, but since there was a current
discussion that was related to the subject I posted it, knowing that a
large
number of Americans take this crap as "gospel".

I find your and Dans responses to this stuff to be more informative than
the
articles themselves.

Secondly, my motives continue from the thread I posted "A Problem For
Conservatives". From where I sit, Newsmax appears to be a pillar of
information for conservatives and integral to the clade of Limbaugh
wannabes. (Talk Radio)

There are some quite conservative folks on Brin-L and we are lucky that
we
do not have to tolerate this kind of crap on a regular basis. To me that
shows the quality of the people on this list. But I had hope to get
comment
from John, Gautam, or maybe Kevin on the subject.

>You really need to find a better news source, Rob. Until you do, I'd

Actually I would agree. I would prefer that people read the discussions
that
result from something I post unless they are hard core enough that they
enjoy being integral to the discussions. I read *every* post most of the
time, but I think my best chance at contributing is finding things worth
discussing.

On a related note, does anyone have suggestions for "Liberal/Democrat"
News
oriented websites?
I pretty much have the more polemic Conservatives covered and have quite
a
few Libertarian sites in mind, but cant find equivilent liberals sources
that arent blogs.
TIA
