Julia was kind enough to forward me JDG's 1st 3 chapter analyses of Glory Season.

I'll be fine with whatever the list decides regarding a book (Brin or Not). It's 2/7. I'll wait until 2/28, tally the votes/suggestions and then start reading and writing. I think 3 weeks should be enough to give everyone a chance to chime in. :) Will keep a running tally of suggested choices on my computer and post that once a week until 2/28.

At this point, I assume that I'll be doing a chapter or two a month depending on my available time. More frequently if it's Kil'n People. :)

I'm probably most comfortable with DB, but am willing to give it a shot.

Maybe one of the Banks "Culture" books? I've been looking for a good excuse to move some of those up higher on my "to buy eventually" list...

I'd personally vote for either Excession or Consider Phlebas. :) Both of them are good starting points for a Culture intro. Pleeeeeease not Feersum Enjinn! :)

Or Against a Dark Background. Wasn't the point of doing a BrinBooks that we could pick out hidden references? That we can get a clarification from the author?
