Hmm, would Social Darwinism qualify as a 'radical
branch' off the evolution theory tree?  It still sends
up tendrils now and again; I suppose Aryanism might be
such an offshoot.

The movie 'GATTACGA,' which has been discussed
previously, certainly paints a dreadful picture of
genetics (and the belief in its infallibility) run
amok.  Someone recently posted an article about the
discovery of a gene (or perhaps several) that
correlates with violent or antisocial behavior in
young men, but _only_ if they also had an unstable
family life/upbringing.  (Unless that was an article I
read elsewhere, which is possible.)
