This article shows a simple mod to replace 6m with 160m: http://home.comcast.net/~chnord/T-160/T-160.htm
I can drive this with a WRL/Globe V-10 VFO. Rather than adding plate modulation I'd like to add a balanced modulator stage for DSB. That way the signal may be easily copied by AM or SSB receivers - making the venerable T-60 a more versatile transmitter. (Rx a Gonset G-66B or National NC-190.) Maybe a 7360 or 6JH8 or 6ME8 or other balanced modulator stage between buffer and multiplier? http://www.bignick.net/ssb/282_.pdf I suppose the Final would have to be modified from Class C to AB? Possible tweaks for linearity to the multiplier stage as well?
