All - I have an SR-160 that goes into self-oscillation when I try to tune it up via procedures in the manual. This happens even using a dummy load. Also, I notice that R13 (47K) gets very hot - enough to discolor it. It's in the receive circuit so I don't understand why it's getting so hot.
I'd like to find someone who really familiar with these rigs to discuss finding the problem(s) offline. Any leads, help, etc. would be much appreciated.
