I was just wondering what the posibility would be
of Ralph playing Bonnaroo Music Festival? We has gone to both Bonnaroo music
festivals sence it started in Manchester TN and are going again in 2004. It is a
heck of a good time and I think The Ralph Stanley Band would be a good addition
to the 2004 lineup.
So what about guys? Do ya think you could
make it the second week of June?
In 2002 there were something like 60 bands
including Old crow medicine show, Jim White, Donna the Buffalo, Robert
Randolph & the family band, Col. Bruce Hampton & the code talkers, The
Del McCoury Band, John Butler Trio, Campbell Brothers, Dottie Peoples,
Blind boys of Alabama, Nora Jones, North Mississippi allstars and a crap load of
others.
The 2003 lineup went like this...
The Dead (grateful Dead)
Neil Young and Crazy Horse Widespread Panic James Brown The Allman Brothers Band Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals Jack Johnson moe. Galactic The Roots Bela Fleck & the Flecktones Medeski Martin & Wood Yonder Mountain String Band Robert Randolph & the Family Band Nickel Creek G. Love and Special Sauce Sound Tribe Sector 9 Lucinda Williams Emmylou Harris O.A.R. North Mississippi Allstars Warren Haynes (solo) Keller Williams Garage A Trois DJ Z-Trip Particle The Slip The Polyphonic Spree Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra The (funky) Meters The New Deal RJD2 Cyro Baptista & Beat the Donkey The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players Mix Master Mike Sonic Youth Tortoise Michael Franti and Spearhead The Wailers Toots and the Maytals Drive-By Truckers Kid Koala Josh Kelly This year it would be so nice to see Good "ol Ralph Stanley up there on
stage. infront of those 80,000 people. |
