What a great loss to the bluegrass music world.  All of us who marvelled at Joe's fiddlin' will long remember the enjoyment he brought to ears and  hearts of listeners; he and his music will be irreplacable. Regards, JBB.

BG: Ralph Joe Meadows

Joe Meadows, the fiddler on many of the Stanley Brothers Mercury records in the early 50's passed away on Saturday January 8th, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  He was a wonderful and inovative fiddler and he will certainly be missed.
